Mortgage Modification
A New York judge has recently cancelled the mortgage of IndyMac Bank in response to the banks disregard for required settlement conferences. Judge Jeffrey Spinner found the banks conduct through the foreclosure proceedings to be so deplorable, that he voided the mortgage on the homeowners property. In the case the bank was unwilling to negotiate with the homeowners to find a solution to the foreclosure. It will be interesting if this ruling is appealed by the bank.
